Choosing the right Anti-Virus program.

Many of my friends were asking me “Which Anti-Virus to buy?”

Answer: Well it depends. Personally I’ve used Bit Defender™ for 14 months. And I was satisfied. Here’s what I did:-

When you download a program from the internet it doesn’t give you the total facilities which are provided with the real software. Even they do provide them, I have no way to download them all and evaluate them one by one. So what I did I went to www.pcworld.com and checked their reviews on Anti-Virus software. Then I checked out the market rates. Bit Defender™ Total security pack is for Tk.1050 (1 user), Tk.2500 (3 users; means about Tk.833per user.)So I talked with Tanzir and bought a 3 user Bit Defender™ Total security. I sold the remaining slot to Irfan later on. It served me well and I’m very happy with its service. Now my license has expired I’m thinking to buy a new one.

Enough about me. Now let’s start with you.

There are lots of factors you should consider before you buy an original Anti-Virus program. But I’m going to skip those and start right away on possible scenarios.

###Virus is eating me alive. I don’t have time to deal with all those problems related with virus. I have the money. Let’s just get over with it.
If the line above express you, than buy Norton 2010. Easy to handle, deals with almost everything.

### I have money to buy licensed software and I also have some time to sit in front of the computer and remove each and every malware present in my computer.

Buy Bit Defender™ total security pack.

### I neither have the money to buy licensed software nor the time to sit before my computer and fix problems. However I have no problem to leave my running.

Download the latest AVG Home version from the internet.

### I’m not willing to spend money on stupid licensed software. I’m a geek. I can handle viruses.

Download clam win.

Ok. Now that being said let me tell you the draw backs.

Clam win, Norton, avg can’t remove all viruses. Avg can be slow and annoying some times. Bit Defender™ has a “not so good” GUI. But it gets the job done.

But THE MOST IMPORTANT advice is, if you frequently visit PORNOGRAPHIC WEBSITES and download PORNOGRAPHIC MATERIALS, no antivirus software is strong enough.

STAY SAFE.
